Tree of Hope Idaho Basketball
Joe de Vera founded Tree of Hope Idaho basketball (along with previous Co-Director, Candace Thornton, who is now an Assistant Coach at Utah Tech WBB) 9 years ago, with the objective of helping Idaho female basketball players gain more college exposure through the process of: a) improving their skill development and basketball IQ while b) introducing them to college coaches through a system that involves scheduling the appropriate NCAA Certified events, social media campaigns and direct outreach to college coaches.
Through these efforts, Tree of Hope Idaho has helped over 80% of their alumni receive basketball college scholarships - almost 50 players received college scholarships since the program's inception.
In addition to being the Founder/ Managing Director of Tree of Hope Idaho and Idaho Elite Basketball, Coach Joe is a CEO Advisory Coach through Vistage (https://www.vistage.com/) and a Finance Specialist for real estate developers and builders. He has been very active in the Boise/ Treasure Valley community as a volunteer for the following organizations: North Star Charter School (Chairman), Idaho Charter School Commission (Commissioner), United Way of Treasure Valley (Board Member), Arid Club (Vice-Chair), St. Lukes (Meridian Advisory Council Member), and Junior Achievement of Idaho (Board Chair).
